Autumnal week ahead for Sydney

After a pleasant burst of warmth this weekend, strong winds,
frequent showers and cooler temperatures will dominate the weather
next week.
A vigorous low and front will begin to impact the region from
late-afternoon on Sunday, which will cause winds to strengthen and
temperatures to drop considerably. The cool change will be
accompanied by a period of rain, with a few thunderstorms in the
mix, but generally less than 10 mm is expected.
Monday will see the low pressure system deepen in the Tasman Sea,
which will result in cool and blustery southerly component winds
and showers. Coastal parts could see wind gusts in excess of 80
km/h. Temperatures will struggle to get above 20 degrees on
Monday, however, it will feel much cooler than that when exposed
to the wind.
Overall, next week will see a continuation of unsettled
conditions, with gusty showers likely each day and close to
average temperatures. This is the type of weather that will turn
umbrellas inside out, so having a waterproof jacket handy would be
a much more practical idea.
