Earthquake near Sydney

A small earthquake occurred off the coast of Sydney this morning.
The magnitude 3.2 earthquake struck at 10:39am local time, about 30 kilometres off the coast and at a depth of 10km, according to Geoscience Australia.
There were reports of minor shaking felt on the North Beaches, although this was a small event and posed no threat the the safety of Sydneysiders.
The Bureau of Meteorology�s Joint Tsunami Warning Centre confirmed that there was no tsunami threat to Australia following the quake this morning, despite its proximity to the coast.
Past earthquakes near Sydney include a magnitude 2.6 quake approximately 45 kilometres offshore and a magnitude 3.2 quake east of Gosford, both in 2012.
