Storms to be the talk of the bush in QLD and NSW

Farmers and pastoralists across much of NSW and parts of QLD have had a fairly dry winter and spring, but hope is on the way.
In October most areas managed to pick up some decent rain, but November has started out quite dry. Most recently a blocking high pressure system has set up in the Tasman Sea, bringing clear skies to inland eastern Australia.
However, a low pressure trough is starting to make its way across the nation, bringing showers and storms with it. This trough will start to affect western NSW from Wednesday, before focusing in central and eastern QLD late in the week. As is usual for showers and storms the decent rain totals will be hit and miss.
Thankfully this trough and others like it are likely to hang around the eastern states right through to the end of the month, with thunderstorms migrating back and forth across the region. This means that there will be more 'hits' than there typically are at this time of year, leading to more farms getting the rain that they need.
