After a warm weekend, daytime temperatures will head in the other direction during the week ahead.
Increased cloud, a few showers and blustery westerly winds will herald the arrival of a cold front during Monday, with temperatures returning to near-average for the start of the week.
A stronger front should move through later on Wednesday, bringinging only a few showers, but a top-up of cool air. Temperatures may drop even further, with both Thursday and Friday forecast to reach the mid-to-high teens.
By the time the weekend rolls around again, a high should be sitting over the state. This high will bring sunny, settled and slightly warmer weather.
