Warm week in Perth

It seems like summer is sticking around in Perth this week, with the city heading for six straight days in the thirties.

A large and slow-moving high pressure system moving to the south of Australia this week will cause warm air to linger near the nation's west coast.

After reaching 32 degrees on Monday and 34 on Tuesday, Perth is forecast to reach the low to mid thirties each day from Wednesday to Saturday.

Perth hasn't registered six consecutive days at or above 30 degrees during April since 2014.

At the time of writing this article, this week's hottest day was officially forecast to be 35 degrees on Wednesday. However, it's possible that the mercury will climb a degree or two higher than this in the city. Perth's highest April temperature on record is 37.6 degrees from 1910.
