Final Flood Warning For The Waterhouse River

FLOODING EASED AT BESWICK BRIDGE
Isolated rainfall totals of up to 20 mm have been recorded in the upper Waterhouse catchment since 8:00 am Tuesday.
Showers and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls are forecast over the next few days, which may cause renewed river level rises. The situation is being monitored and warnings will be issued as required.

Waterhouse River:
Flood levels eased along the Waterhouse River, with small renewed rises occurring at d/s of Diljin Hill.
Minor flooding at Beswick Bridge peaked at 8.02 metres during early Wednesday morning. The river level is currently at 7.69 metres and steady, below the minor flood level (7.70 metres)
The Waterhouse River at Beswick Bridge is expected to remain below the minor flood level (7.70 m) during Wednesday.

Flood Safety Advice:
The Northern Territory Emergency Service advises that people should:
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Prepare for flooding and move away while safe to do so.
Don't drive into floodwaters.}
