TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST

CANCELLATION SEVERE WEATHER WARNING

Issued at 3:10 am Saturday, 18 March 2017.

The Severe Weather Warning for Damaging Wind has been cancelled, but the
situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings will be issued if
necessary.

A Severe Weather Warning for heavy rainfall and Flood Watches remain current for
NSW. See http://www.bom.gov.au/nsw/warnings/ for further details.

Average wind speeds of 70 km/h and 65 km/h were recorded at Norah Head at 10:00
pm Friday and 12:00 am Saturday respectively.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Don't walk, ride or drive through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Beware of fallen trees or debris on the road.


No further warnings will be issued for this event.

website at www.bom.gov.au or call 1300 659 218. The Bureau and State Emergency
Service would appreciate warnings being broadcast regularly.
