One thing to know right now ? the rains are 'ere
Heavy rain, storms and flooding are expected in parts of the country as a low-pressure system sloshes its way across the continent over the next few days.
Weather warnings are currently out in South Australia, Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria
Rain is expected to increase across Brisbane and Sydney this evening and extend down into parts of northern Victoria and western New South Wales
"The low-pressure system is really gonna be the focus of heavy rainfall across New South Wales, the ACT and for Victoria tomorrow," meteorologist Jonathan How said.
One thing we've been talking about today ? Sydney fugitive's escape plan revealed
NSW's most wanted man Mostafa Baluch was caught hiding in a car on the back of a truck near the Queensland border early yesterday after being on the run for 16 days.
Sources close to the investigation say he was allegedly planning to escape to Thailand before catching a plane to the Balkans in south-eastern Europe, where he has "strong and powerful underworld friends".
"We are really glad we got to arrest him before he fled the country because it would have taken years to get him back, and cost millions of dollars," a senior detective said.

An Elf on the Shelf is bad for your health ? at least according to one fed-up judge.
Rob Leonard, who oversees Cobb County Superior Court in the US state of Georgia, has freed tired parents from Christmas tyranny, posting a tongue-in-cheek order on Twitter "banning" the holiday tradition.
?Tired of living in Elf on the Shelf tyranny? Not looking forward to the Elf forgetting to move and causing your kids emotional distress? I am a public servant and will take the heat for you. My gift to tired parents,? Judge Rob Leonard tweeted.
According to the holiday tradition, the elves hide in homes for weeks before Christmas and report back to Santa on who's been naughty and nice.
... which sounds absolutely terrifying.
