Heatwave Warning

Valid for Tuesday 05 November 2024 to Thursday 07 November 2024

Warning for the following areas:
Kimberley, North Interior and South Interior

Safety Advice:
Severe heatwaves can be dangerous for many people, especially older people, babies, children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, people with medical conditions and people who are unwell.
Seek a place to keep cool, such as your home, a library, community centre or shopping centre.
Close your windows and draw blinds, curtains or awnings early in the day to keep the heat out of your home.
If available, use fans or air-conditioners to keep cool.

Maximum temperatures in the mid thirties to mid forties. Overnight minimum temperatures in the low to mid twenties, dropping to mid to high teens in southern parts of the South Interior.

Severe heatwave conditions are expected to ease over the South Interior following the passage of a cold front Tuesday, with severe heatwave conditions over the North Interior and Kimberley expected to ease later in the week.
Locations likely to be impacted include Kiwirrkurra.

The next heatwave warning will be issued by 2:00pm WST on Wednesday 06 November 2024
