Final Flood Warning For The Swan River

FLOODING HAS EASED IN THE UPPER SWAN RIVER
Flooding eased at Walyunga and Meadow Street Bridge during the weekend. No further renewed rises are expected.

Swan River upstream of Walyunga:
Flooding has eased on the upper Swan River to Walyunga.
The Swan River at Walyunga is currently at 2.88 metres and falling.
The river level is expected to remain below the minor flood level (3.50 m).

Swan River downstream of Walyunga:
River levels along the Swan River at Meadow Street Bridge fell below the minor flood level (2.00 m) overnight Saturday. River levels continue to ease, though small renewed rises below the minor flood level are possible during the week as upstream floodwaters arrive.

Flood Safety Advice:
DFES advises people and communities to be aware that flooding is possible and be prepared to relocate equipment and livestock. Watch water levels. Travellers need to be aware that road conditions may be adversely affected and travel plans may need to be reconsidered. Do not drive into water of unknown depth and velocity.}
