Australian Open Mens Final Weather

Thomas Hough, Sunday January 27, 2019 - 08:34 AEDT

The Australian Open mens final is here, so what does the weather have in store, will you need your raincoats or fans?

The answer, is neither. Conditions for tonight's final look perfect, with the oppressive heat of recent days staying away and not a drop of rain in sight.

Early morning showers around the city should have clear by the afternoon leaving the dry conditions everyone would like for the evenings match. Winds could pick up a little as the evening goes on, however should remain light for the most part.

Similarly to yesterday Melbourne is expected to reach a peak of the mid 20's today. By the time the match starts tonight temperatures will have dropped a little, but should be sitting in the low 20's still, comfortable enough for watching the nights events unfold.

By the time the match finishes Melbourne could have dipped below 20 degrees, not cold, but if you're prone to the chills, maybe take a jumper just in case.

Bonsoy Gold Coast Pro surf forecast

07:00 AEST After an emotional mid-year cut at the Margaret River Pro surf competition in Western Australia last week, surfers that fell below the cut line, along with up-and-coming talent, will be battling it out on the Gold Coast from this weekend onwards.  The first stop on the Challenger Series (the lesser format of the Championship Tour) will take place along the Gold Coast’s premier surf point breaks, starting this morning and running to Saturday May 4th.
