MCG Ashes Test Conditions Report

With day two of the fourth Ashes test coming to a close after beautiful cricketing conditions letâ??s have a look forward to see what the weather has in store for the remainder of the Test. Temperatures were still climbing as of 5pm EDT and look to peak at 35 degrees at about 6pm before cooling. Northerly winds were 15-20 km/h, with gusts up to 30km/h, at 5pm EDT and look to weaken into the evening.
Tomorrow should see a cloudier day at the MCG with a few light showers, however these are unlikely to have a large impact on the game. Temperatures will reach 30 in the afternoon tomorrow, with NNE winds peaking around midday at 10-18 km/h, with gusts up to 25km/h.
A southerly change is expected tomorrow evening with winds turning SW, and bringing a cooler day on Friday along with showers. Temperatures are expected to max out at 24 degrees as a cold front affects Victoria. Showers are not expected to be extensive, only amounting to 5-10mm over the whole day. The most likely time for showers is between late morning and mid afternoon. Winds are expected to be light.
Day five of the test looks to be a cool day and see a return to mostly clear conditions. A top of 21 is forecast, with minimal rain during playing time. Westerly winds should strengthen throughout the day peaking at 15-25km/h, with gusts up to 35km/h in the afternoon.
