Thunderstorm activity is producing areas of deep convective cloud over northern Western Australia, the Top End, the Gulf of Carpentaria and parts of Queensland. A high pressure ridge over the western Tasman Sea is driving low cloud onto the New South Wales coast and adjacent ranges. A small cold front is currently passing over southwest Western Australia with a low level cloud band. The central south of the continent is mostly cloud free.
