Mostly sunny over inland central and southern Queensland east of Barcaldine to Charleville and south of Clermont, with isolated showers near the coast between Sunshine coast and Yeppoon. Scattered showers about the tropical east coast north of St Lawrence, with the chance of thunderstorms north of Townsville. Isolated showers and thunderstorms elsewhere, tending scattered across northern and far western Queensland, Possible heavy falls with thunderstorms in the northwest, near NT border. Showers tending widespread about the North Tropical Coast and southern Gulf Coast, especially in the morning. Light to moderate northeast to southeasterly winds, tending fresh at times about the tropical east coast. Maximum temperatures well below average in the northwest, tending below average in the central and northern interior and near average elsewhere.
