What?s satellite imagery?

Satellite images are images captured by satellites at regular intervals (usually hourly) and used by meteorologists to forecast the weather. The three types of satellite imagery displayed on Weatherzone are infrared images, visible images and water vapour images. Each has their own advantages and disadvantages.
