Understanding the Weather

Who gives you the information used in your weather charts?

Most of our information comes from the Bureau of Meteorology. The radar and satellite imagery all come from the Bureau, as do observations and most of the forecasts. A number of the forecasts that are not sourced from elswhere are prepared by The Weather Company (TWC) meteorologists. The forecast rain charts are prepared by TWC meteorologists using information sourced from the Bureau and other international weather agencies. The computer models come from the Bureau (mesoLAPS, LAPS and GASP), the US (GFS) and TWC(Mesocast).
