Cancellation Of Severe Thunderstorm Warning

for Flinders, North West Pastoral and North East Pastoral districts.

Issued at 9:10 pm Monday, 16 December 2024.

Thunderstorms have eased this evening.

Weather Situation
A hot and humid airmass combined with a trough triggered thunderstorms today.
cancellation of severe thunderstorm warning for the following areas:
Flinders, North West Pastoral and North East Pastoral
The immediate threat of severe thunderstorms has passed, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary.
129 km/h gust was recorded at Whyalla at 3:10pm

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Beware of fallen trees or debris on the road.
* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.

No further warnings will be issued for this event.
