13:54 AEST There are signs that an Antarctic airmass is on its way to southern Australia later this week, with the potential for fierce winds, snow and rain.  This comes after southern Australia has seen a sustained period of cold and windy weather this week, with a couple of centimetres of snow falling at the resorts on Wednesday morning.
