Final Flood Warning For The Bogan River

PEAK ESTIMATED TO BE OCCURRING BELOW THE MINOR FLOOD LEVEL AT MUDALL TUESDAY MORNING
Rainfall earlier this month has caused elevated river levels along the Bogan River. Along the upper Bogan River, the main flood peak is around Mudall, where river levels are estimated to be peaking below the minor flood level. River level rises are expected further downstream as the flood peak moves through the catchment. Warnings will be issued if river levels are likely to rise to flood levels.

Bogan River to Nyngan:
No further flooding is expected in the Bogan River to Nyngan.
The Bogan River at Mudall was reported at 1.95 metres and steady at 07:00 AM Tuesday morning.
The Bogan River at Mudall is estimated to be peaking below the minor flood level (2.70 metres) Tuesday morning. The river level is expected to fall over the next few days.

Flood Safety Advice:
In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500.
* Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place.
* Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood.
* Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains.
* Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.}
