Final Flood Warning For The Bokhara And Birrie Rivers

MINOR FLOODING EASING ALONG THE BOKHARA RIVER AT GOODOOGA
Minor flooding has peaked and is easing along the Bokhara River at Goodooga. Along the Birrie River at Goodooga, the river level is peaking just below the minor flood level.
At this stage, the observed flood peaks are likely to cause river level rises downstream, but no flooding is expected.
The situation will be closely monitored and warnings will be re-issued if required.

Birrie River:
The river level is peaking just below minor along the Birrie River.
The Birrie River at Goodooga is currently at 3.11 metres and peaking just below the minor flood level (3.20 m).

Bokhara River:
Minor flooding is easing along the Bokhara River.
The Bokhara River at Goodooga peaked at 2.72 metres around 02:45 pm Thursday and is currently at 2.70 metres at the minor flood level.
The Bokhara River at Goodooga is expected to fall below the minor flood level (2.70 m) Friday afternoon. The river level is expected to remain below the minor flood level (2.70 m) for the next few days.

* Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place.
* Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood.
* Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains.
* Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.}
