MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT MOGIL MOGIL AND COLLARENEBRI
MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT WALGETT FROM LATE THIS WEEK
Recent localised rainfall has caused significant river level rises along the Moonie and Barwon Rivers. Minor flooding is occurring at Mogil Mogil and Collarenebri. The main flood peak along the Barwon River is approaching Collarenebri, where river levels may peak late Wednesday into Thursday.
Floodwaters are expected to move through Walgett in the next few days, where minor flooding is possible late this week.

Barwon River Mungindi to Collarenebri:
Minor flooding is occurring Mogil Mogil and Collarenebri.
The Barwon River at Mungindi is currently at 4.51 metres and falling, below minor flood level (6.10 m). The river level is expected to remain below the minor flood level.

The Barwon River at Mogil Mogil peaked at 8.11 metres around 01:45 pm Tuesday and is currently at 8.00 metres and falling, above the minor flood level (7.50 m).
The Barwon River at Mogil Mogil is likely to remain above the minor flood level over the next few days.

The Barwon River at Collarenebri is currently at 6.09 metres and rising, above the minor flood level (5.80 m).
The Barwon River at Collarenebri may peak near 6.30 metres late Wednesday into Thursday, with minor flooding.

Barwon River downstream of Collarenebri to Walgett:
Minor flooding may occur along the Barwon River downstream of Collarenebri to Walgett.
The Barwon River at Walgett is currently at 6.99 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (10.50 m).
The Barwon River at Walgett may reach the minor flood level during Friday into Saturday.

* Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood.
* Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains.
* Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.}
