Minor Flood Warning For The Burnett River

MINOR FLOODING CONTINUING AT DUNOLLIE
Flooding from moderate to heavy rainfall during the week continues in the Burnett River catchment. Multiple flood peaks are travelling through the catchments many rivers and creeks, resulting in continued elevated water levels.
No significant rainfall has been recorded in the 48 hours since 9:00 am Thursday. No significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.

Stuart and Boyne Rivers:
Minor flooding continues along the Boyne River at Dunollie. Moderate flooding is occurring at Cooranga. Flooding has eased along the Stuart River.
The Boyne River at Dunollie peaked at 5.55 metres around 4:45 pm Friday with minor flooding and is currently at 5.10 metres and falling, above the minor flood level (2.50 m).
The Boyne River at Dunollie is likely to remain above the minor flood level (2.50 m) during Sunday.

Barker and Barambah Creeks:
River levels are elevated along Barker Creek and Barambah Creek. Moderate flooding is occurring along Barker Creek at Glenmore. Minor flooding is continuing along Barambah Creek between Ficks Crossing and Silverleaf Weir.
The Barambah Creek at Brian Pastures is expected to remain below the minor flood level (6.00 m).

Burnett River downstream of Paradise Dam:
Minor flooding is easing along the Burnett River downstream of Paradise Dam at Ned Churchward Weir
The Burnett River at Walla is currently at 5.76 metres, below the minor flood level (6.00 m) and falling.
The Burnett River at Walla is likely to remain below the minor flood level (6.00 m).

Victoria bushfire forcing evacuations, smoke spilling into NSW

09:23 AEDT Intense bushfires continue to burn over Victoria's Grampians, with emergency warnings from Friday night advising residents to leave immediately.  After intensifying during Thursday, hot and windy conditions continued to fuel the fire throughout Friday, with firefighters struggling to manage the blaze.
