MINOR FLOODING HAS EASED AT SURAT
Minor flooding has eased at Surat in the Upper Balonne catchment. River levels across the catchment are likely to remain elevated as flood waters continue to move downstream over the coming days.
Further showers are possible for the next few days, which may keep river levels elevated and cause further river level rises. The situation will continue to be monitored and warnings will be issued if required.

Balonne River to Surat:
No further flooding is expected in the Balonne River to Surat.
No recent observations are available for the Balonne River at Surat, however, based on the nearby automatic gauge, the river level is expected to be below the minor flood level (5.00 m).
The Balonne River at Surat is likely to remain below the minor flood level (5.00 m).

Balonne River downstream of Surat to Beardmore Dam:
Elevated river levels are likely to continue for the next few days in the Balonne River downstream of Surat to Beardmore Dam. Moderate flooding continues at Werribone, however river levels are expected to remain below minor flood levels at downstream locations.
