Minor Flood Warning For The Bokhara River And Final Flood Warning For The Lower Balonne River

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT HEBEL
FLOODING NO LONGER EXPECTED AT ST GEORGE
Heavy to locally intense rainfall since Wednesday last week, particularly around the NSW-QLD border, has cause river level rises across the Lower Balonne and Bokhara Rivers. Minor flooding is occurring at Hebel. Renewed rises are possible along the Lower Balonne and Bokhara Rivers as upstream peaks from the Upper Balonne and Maranoa arrive.
Outflows from Beardmore Dam are no longer expected to cause flooding along the Lower Balonne River at St George.

Lower Balonne and Bokhara Rivers, Balonne River Minor:
Minor flooding is occurring between and along the Bokhara River. Flooding is no longer expected along the Lower Balonne River at St George.

No current river level observations are available for the Balonne River at St George, however based on the nearby auto gauge the river level is expected to be below the minor flood level (6.00 m).
The Balonne River at St George is likely to remain below the minor flood level (6.00 m).

The Bokhara River at Hebel is currently at 1.00 metres and steady, at the minor flood level (1.00 m).
The Bokhara River at Hebel may fall below the minor flood level (1.00 m) Tuesday afternoon. Renewed rises are possible as upstream peaks arrive.
