Warning to Sheep Graziers for the following areas:
Midlands, East Coast, Upper Derwent Valley and South East forecast districts
Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, showers and westerly winds are expected during Thursday. Areas likely to be affected include parts of the Midlands, East Coast, Upper Derwent Valley and South East forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.

The next warning will be issued by 5:00 am EDT Thursday.

Giant hail and intense rain lash Qld, NSW

16:32 AEDT Severe thunderstorms have formed over parts of Qld and NSW this afternoon, with reports of hail around 7cm in diameter, intense rainfall and flooding and damaging winds.  The combination of a surface and upper-level trough and moisture-laden easterly winds are triggering severe thunderstorms across southeastern Qld and northeastern NSW.  The images below show the severe thunderstorms across the region on Wednesday afternoon.
