Final Flood Warning For The Dandenong Creek

Dandenong Creek:
WATER LEVEL IN DANDENONG CREEK AT POLICE ROAD RETARDING BASIN ROWVILLE HAS DROPPED BELOW THE MINOR FLOOD LEVEL.
The Dandenong Creek catchment has recorded rainfall averaging about 2 mm since 09:00 AM Tuesday 16 July 2024. No significant rainfall is forecast for the catchment for rest of today.
The water levels of the Dandenong Creek at various locations are falling.
The level of the Dandenong Creek at Rowville (Police Road RB) is currently at 4.29 metres, below the Minor Flood Level (4.60 metres), and falling.
Minor flooding in the Dandenong Creek catchment that affected the low-lying areas adjacent to the waterway is now receding. Heatherton Road between Stud Road and Monash Freeway is still impacted by flooding.

Blind Ck at High Street Road, Wantirna Sth: 0.27 metres, steady
Corhanwarrabul Ck at Stud Road, Scoresby: 0.55 metres, steady
Dandenong Ck. at Police Road RB, Rowville: 4.29 metres, falling
Dandenong Ck. at Hammond Road, Dandenong: 2.39 metres, falling
Mile Ck. at Springvale: 0.02 metres, falling
Mile Ck. at Keysborough: 0.37 metres, steady
Dandenong Ck. at East Link, Keysborough: 1.99 metres, falling
Eumemmering Ck at Lyndhurst: 1.13 metres, falling

Never allow children to play in floodwater,
Stay away from waterways and stormwater drains during and after heavy rain,

Be aware that in fire affected areas, rainfall run-off into waterways may contain debris such as ash, soil, trees and rocks, and heavy rainfall increases the potential for landslides and debris across roads.}
